New UK Ambassador Appointed

Ulaanbaatar, April 28, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Ms. Fiona Blyth has been
appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to Mongolia in succession to Mr. Philip
Malone, Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
to Mongolia, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service
appointment, according to the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kindom. Ms. Blyth will take up her appointment during July 2023, reports
Ms. Blyth was an Officer
in the British Army in 2006-2010, an Employee
of the European Counter-Terrorism Service in 2011-2012,
a Researcher at the Clinton Foundation's policy department in 2012, a Policy Analyst
at the International Peace Institute in 2013, and a Senior Policy Adviser at
the UN
Permanent Mission representative in 2013-2017,
Senior Specialist
on Political Affairs at the UN Resident Mission in Somalia in 2017-2020, Chief
Analyst/Middle East at the
Cabinet Office in 2020-2021, Head
of the group responsible for Russia and Ukraine at the
Cabinet Office, and the Secretariat of
National Security.
