National chess solving championship to be held online

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The national chess solving championship is to be organized online on the occasion of the Day of Proclamation which falls on November 26.
The tournament will be held for the 11th time, making named after honorary master for chess composition of the International Chess Federation, international referee S.Chimidtseren. And it aims to increase the number of chess solving amateurs and prepare world-competitive chess problem solvers, international chess referee N.Togookhuu said.
“Chess solving sport has been intensively developing in our country in recent years. In particular, chess unions of Khovd, Sukhbaatar, Tuv, Umnugobi aimags and Baganuur district are working actively to develop this type of chess sport,” he added.
Teams will solve six problems and ranking will be given to the team members who succeeded over 50 percent.
Incidentally, FIDE International master S.Bilguun became a champion of the First FIDE World Chess Solving Championship for Juniors that was held in 2016.
