Mongolia marks World Savings Day

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Bank of Mongolia, the Deposit
Insurance Corporation of Mongolia, the Mongolian Bankers Association, the
German Savings Banks Finance Group (Sparkassen Finanzgruppe), and commercial
banks jointly marked World Savings Day on October 31 in Ulaanbaatar under the motto
‘Easy to save up’.
At the event, banks introduced their products and services
for children, offered the people a service of opening savings accounts, and
gave presentations on the importance of savings, benefits, and international
experience.
This year, the events for World Savings Day were successfully organized not only in Ulaanbaatar but also in provinces. For instance, a general event for the day was held on October 20 in Darkhan-Uul aimag, on October 22 in Orkhon aimag, and on October 27 in Sukhbaatar aimag, conducting activities to give knowledge on financial literacy and savings and promote the saving habits.
