Health Minister meets U.S. Ambassador

Minister of Health T.Munkhsaikhan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski.
The U.S. Ambassador stressed that bilateral cooperation has been expanding rapidly in health care through the strategic partnership between the two countries and that he would gladly welcome any proposals for cooperation in health care.
Noting that the assistance including programs the United States has previously provided for Mongolia have made valuable contributions to the development of the country’s health care sector, Minister T.Munkhsaikhan spoke of his plans to improve health care service quality and accessibility at aimag and district hospitals and bring the health sector up to the level of highly-developed countries in a short period of time through a phased action plan. The Minister also underlined that bilateral cooperation is greatly important in successful implementation of the plans.
