Mongolia-Russia archival documents exhibition opens

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of modern archive sector in Mongolia, an exhibition of archival documents themed 'The Great Oktyabr- Cultural and Science Relations between Mongolia and Russia' opened Thursday in the exhibition hall of General Archival Authority.
It is displaying documents, photographs and documentaries being kept at state archival organizations of Mongolia and Russia.
The exhibition consists of three parts: “Great October Revolution and Mongolia’s Revolution of White Rooster Year”, “Cultural and Science Relations between Mongolia and Russia” and “Commission to Cooperate in Archive Sector – 25 Years”. Documents of historical events occurring in recent hundred years between 1917 and 2017 have been displayed.
During the event, a launching ceremony was held for the third volume of a book “Mongolia-Soviet Cultural and Science Relations”/1976-1990/ jointly compiled by Mongolia’s General Archival Authority and Federal Archival Agency of Russia. Archival documents contained in the compilation have been published for the first time. It includes 29 important documents stamped “secret” that were kept in Russian archives and were not used in studies before.
