11 years old Mongolian girl became the World Champion

Mongolian young draught player E. Khuslen became the World Champion by winning in the blitz draughts discipline among girls in the age category of under 11 years of the Junior World Championships,

which took place on 18-27 of October in Izmir, Turkey.  In the same age category, another Mongolian girl N.Naljormaa grabbed a bronze medal with 14 points.

Famous Mongolian ballet dancer performs in Havana

The 25th International Ballet Festival of Havana started on Friday with participation of ballet dancers from 17 countries, including Mongolia. Mongolia was represented by the Cultural Envoy of Mongolia and State Honored Artist D.Altanhuyag. He will perform along with Prima ballerina Anette Delgado at the festival.

Throat singer promotes Mongolia in Spain

Mongolian throat singer N.Naranbadrakh won the 1st prize at the Talent International Monolith Festival which was held in Barcelona of Spain on October 28 to November 2.

The competition serving to promote and disseminate the arts and cultures of different countries held in 5 age categories and 11 nominations.

N.Naranbadrakh gained the “Sympathy of the Jury and Spectators for the Originality of Performance” and the Barcelona Mayor’s awards as well. 

J. Haiyrulla awarded the gold medal of “Khubilai Khaan”

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of  the neurological surgery in Mongolia the People's Doctor, Academician and Doctor of medical sciences Mr J. Haiyrulla was awarded the gold medal of “Khubilai Khaan”, which is the top prize of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.

In 1966 Mr J.Haiyrulla introduced a neurological surgery in Mongolia, having conducted the first surgery of its kind. During his career in the medical field he has made more than 20 000 surgical operations on the spine.
