MP Yo.Baatarbileg receives Health Minister of Laos

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 4, the Head of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science, MP Yo.Baatarbileg received delegates led by Health Minister of Lao People’s Democratic Republic Dr. Bounkong Syhavong and exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation.
MP Yo.Baatarbieg emphasized the sustainable development of current bilateral relations, economic and trade partnership by directing it to private sector. Minister Bounkong Syhavong expressed interest in health and mining cooperation. The parties agreed on the importance of encouraging initiatives to establish relations between local and provincial cities of the two countries.
Additionally, the Laotian side expressed its gratitude to the Government of Mongolia for the humanitarian assistance of 1050 head of sheep. Dr. Bounkong Syhavong noted that the sheep breeding will play an important role in the development of livestock sector of Laos.
The sides agreed to cooperate on joining Mongolia in the economic cooperation process of the Asia Pacific and entering the ASEAN market.
