Mongolian man becomes Seoul Honorary Citizen

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 22 citizens foreign were titled as ‘Honorary Citizen of Seoul City’ on November 16 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government of the Republic of Korea. Citizen of Mongolia B.Ganbold was among them.


The award is bestowed to foreign citizens in recognition of who their contribution to social, economic and cultural fields of Seoul city. Mr B.Gandold had worked as an Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea before and he established a school for Mongolian children living in Seoul. Foundation of the weekend school considered as effective to help Mongolian children get accustomed to new environment and learn their mother tongue and culture.


Mayor of the city Park Won-soon said “460 thousand foreign citizens are living in Seoul city. We are striving to listen to voices of foreign residents and support them. ”
