EU officially opens its Delegation in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ An inauguration
ceremony of a Delegation of the European Union (EU) was held on
November 13 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
At the event, State
Secretary of the Mongolian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs D. Davaasuren and EU Commissioner
for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica delivered speeches.
The
State Secretary emphasized that opening its Delegation is an
evidence of EU’s attaching great importance to its relations and cooperation
with Mongolia, while expressing his confidence that the Delegation will play a significant role in strengthening bilateral relations and
cooperation between Mongolia and the EU in various sectors, especially the
economy.
Mr. Mimica said that the EU aims to elevate its relations with Mongolia and pays a special attention on realizing Partnership and Cooperation Agreement established between the EU and Mongolia and promoting people-to-people ties.
