International taekwondo athletes to compete in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Kimunyong 2018 Mongolia Open’ International Taekwondo Championships is to take place on October 20-21 in the ‘Olympics’ complex at Khandgait, Ulaanbaatar.
Athletes from more than 10
countries including South Korea, Japan, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan
and Thailand have submitted their applications to participate in the event to be held in three age categories across individual and team competitions.
Over 500 top athletes of the Mongolian Taekwondo Federation will compete at the
championships.
Organizers of the event informed
about their intention to organize the event every year and to make it an Olympic
qualification tournament in the future.
