The 43rd OANA Executive Board Meeting kicks off

Tehran /MONTSAME/ The 43rd meeting of the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia and Pacific News Agencies (OANA) opened on September 3 in Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the meeting, representatives of 20 agencies from 18 countries are discussing the role of OANA in East Asian media cooperation, OANA and modern media and further measures to be taken. Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi attended the opening and delivered opening remarks.
Since its joining in 1981, MONTSAME National News Agency of Mongolia has been actively participating in the activities of the OANA. MONTSAME News Agency was first elected a member of the OANA Executive Board at the General Assembly held in Istanbul in 2010. The agency successfully hosted the Executive Board Meeting in Mongolia in 2011. It was re-elected a member of the Executive Board in 2013 and elected a member of Technical Council for the first time in 2016.
MONTSAME News Agency distributes daily news of Mongolia in English and Russian to the www.oananews.org and mutually exchanges information with OANA member countries.
