Ultra-marathon winner to participate in the international competition

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 28, Mongolian runner B.Surenjav, second place winner of the ‘Steppe Marathon - Bogd Khan Ultra Trail 50km’, received an invitation to participate the International Trail Running Competition.

The ‘Steppe Marathon - Bogd Khan Ultra Trail 50km’ was organized successfully on August 19 at Shavart area, Mount Bogd Khan. Japanese athlete Kota Araki won the ultra-trail marathon and the young athlete B.Surenjav followed him with a break of seven minutes.

During the marathon the organizers informed that a Mongolian winner of the 50 km race will run in the International Trail Running Competition and all expenses will be covered by the organizers.

B.Surenjav expressed his delight, saying “It was pleasure to participate in the marathon. I am delighted to represent my country at the international competition. I am so interested in participating in the competition to be held in Japan as a lots of international marathons and competitions are held in Japan.”

Besides, the athlete shared his plan to participate in the ultra-trail marathon to be held in China next month.
