Education Infrastructure: 12 Schools, 24 Kindergartens set for 2025 Launch

Ulaanbaatar, Novermber 20, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Metropolitan Department of Education has initiated 139 development projects this year, comprising 43 schools, 67 kindergartens, and 22 integrated primary school and kindergarten complexes.
These efforts align with the national priorities set out in the Education Sector Mid-Term Development Plan (2021–2030), which emphasizes equitable access to quality education and the expansion of inclusive, modern learning environments.
According to the Governor's Office of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, the construction of educational buildings and facilities is being carried out under this policy framework, with funding sourced from state, capital city, and district budgets, as well as foreign loans and international aid.
In 2025, the education sector plans to operationalize 12 secondary education schools with a combined enrollment capacity of 8,080 students, 24 kindergartens providing 3,930 early childhood education placements, and 11 integrated primary school–kindergarten complexes accommodating 3,080 children.
To date, seven schools, 19 kindergartens, seven integrated complexes, and one multipurpose sports facility have become operational. The remaining five schools, five kindergartens, four integrated complexes, and one additional sports hall are scheduled to be brought into service by the end of the year.
