Ulaanbaatar, October 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. One of Ulaanbaatar’s major development projects, the Bayankhoshuu sub-center, plans to build 6,463 housing units to accommodate around 30,000 households across 162 hectares in Songinokhairkhan District.
According to officials, infrastructure development within the Bayankhoshuu sub-center has reached 96 percent completion. To date, a 20-unit mixed-use residential building, a kindergarten with capacity for 240 children, a business incubator center, a 50-unit apartment building, and a 35/10 kV substation have been commissioned. Flood protection embankments and landscaping works are complete, while the development of a 2.4-hectare public park is 91 percent finished.
In addition, the 650-seat sports
complex is 85 percent complete, the fire and rescue station is 59
percent complete, and another 240-seat kindergarten
has reached 42 percent progress.
Under
the housing development phase, 13 residential blocks with a total of 462
apartments are being built as part of the first stage. In September, the
project handed over four apartment blocks with 110 units to the state
commission. The housing units feature affordable, green
solutions designed to save resources and are equipped with smart systems to reduce electricity and
water consumption. As a result, residents are expected to save 20–30 percent on energy and water compared
to conventional apartments.
