President of Mongolia Arrives in Tianjin for SCO Tianjin Summit 2025

/MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa arrived in Tianjin, the People’s Republic of China, on August 31, 2025, to participate in the 25th Heads of State Council
meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
Mongolian Ambassador to China
Enkhbold Nyamaa, Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Shen Minjuan, ministerial-level
officials, and governors of Tianjin welcomed the Head of State of Mongolia at
Binhai International Airport in Tianjin. With the state flags of Mongolia and
China hoisted and a red carpet laid from the aircraft stairs, an honor guard of
the Chinese armed forces stood in formation, and children dressed in
traditional attire extended their greetings and congratulations at the airport.
Heads of State from 10 countries
and leaders of over 20 international organizations are attending this year’s SCO
Tianjin Summit 2025, the most extensive in SCO’s history. Since becoming an
observer state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in 2004, Mongolia
has consistently participated in meetings at all levels of the organization.
After participating in the 25th
Heads of State Council meeting of the SCO, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh
Ukhnaa will attend the event marking the 80th anniversary of China's victory in
the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, to be held in Beijing, the
capital of the People's Republic of China. The Seventh Trilateral Meeting of
the Heads of State of Mongolia, the Russian Federation, and the People's
Republic of China will also take place.
Additionally, the President of Mongolia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, will pay tribute at the monument dedicated to the Mongolian and Soviet soldiers who perished in the Battle of Janchkhuu Pass.
