Foreign Minister Expresses Mongolia’s Commitment to Advancing Beneficial Cooperation with Finland

Ulaanbaatar, August 1, 2025 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland Elina Valtonen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunkh is paying an official visit to the Republic of Finland from July 30 to August 1, 2025.
In the framework of her official visit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh was received by President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb on July 31.
During the meeting, the two sides emphasized
that the traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and
Finland have been steadily developing based on shared values such as democracy
and human rights. The parties underscored the significance of high-level visits
and political dialogue in further deepening bilateral relations and
cooperation. In this context, Minister Battsetseg noted that President Alexander
Stubb has an invitation to pay an official visit to Mongolia.
Minister Battsetseg emphasized that Mongolia
attaches great importance to enhancing relations and cooperation with Finland
within the framework of its “Third Neighbor” foreign policy. The Minister also
expressed Mongolia’s commitment to advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in
alignment with the shared long-term development goals of the two countries.
This
visit marks the first-ever official visit at the level of Foreign Minister from
the Mongolian side since the establishment of diplomatic relations between
Mongolia and the Republic of Finland on July 15, 1963.
