Mongolian hockey team becomes Champion of IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia
视频Coached by A.Mergen, Mongolian national hockey team became Champion of ‘2018 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia', international ice hockey tournament for the first time.
Five teams from Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Kuwait and Thailand competed in the tournament which took place on April 3-8, in Manila, Philippines.
Our team got their first win by defeating Singaporean team by 5:3 and Kuwait’s team by 11:2. For the third match, Mongolian team was lost to Philippines team 6:5, having 6 scores. However, our team won Thailand's team by 5:1 in the final match and claimed the first place earning 9 scores.
Previously Mongolian team took part in the tournament for 8 times, bringing 4 bronze medals and one silver medal.
