“Steppe Melisma” Long-Song Tour Starts

Ulaanbaatar, January 24, 2024 /MONTSAME/. A blended long-song tour promoting Mongolian art will start today in four French cities. Specifically, it will be held in Paris, Nantes, Lyon, and Aubagne from today until February 3, 2024.


The tour, organized by the “Routes Nomades” Association, will feature performances by the singers Kh. Erdenetsetseg, G. Enkhbaatar, musicians D. Erdenebold, D. Mandakhjargal, and the “Tengerton” group. The first performance will open today at the Angers Nantes Opera House. The next performances are scheduled for January 26, 27 and February 3, 2024. The purpose of this tour is to present traditional Mongolian long songs to foreign audiences, promoting and showcasing the classical art of the Mongol people.


"Routes Nomades" Association has previously organized "Chinggis Khaan: How the Mongols Changed the World" Exhibition, "If Only I Could Hibernate" Film Premiere in France, "Night in the Steppe" Heritage Day, and "Use of Photography in Mongolia" Exhibition.
