Cabinet orders measures be taken to increase social protection benefits

At its regular meeting on January 12, the Cabinet discussed plans to raise social protection benefits and instructed Minister of Labour and Social Protection A.Ariunzaya to develop a government resolution on measures to be taken to increase social protection benefits under the approved 2022 budget of the social welfare fund and submit it to the Cabinet.
Social protection benefits are provided to 63.1 thousand citizens in five categories including elders and people with disabilities. 11.5 thousand children who need permanent care for their livelihood support.
The Cabinet also discussed regulations on child money management and ordered relevant ministers to make arrangements so that the citizens are not inconvenienced.
