BoM Governor participates in IMF-JICA Joint International Conference in Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by Governor of the
Bank of Mongolia (BoM) B.Lkhagvasuren attended an international conference jointly
organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s Regional Office for Asia
and the Pacific and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on February 12-13.
The conference titled ‘Developing Asia: Achieving Inclusive and Sustainable
Growth with Sound Fiscal Management’ brought together central bank governors, Finance
Ministry authorities, and scholars from the Asia and Pacific countries.
The conference was held in two sessions titled ‘Achieving
Sustainable Development Goals and Inclusive Growth’ and ‘Ensuring Sustainable
Fiscal and Debt Management while Fostering Inclusive and Sustainable Growth’ and
Governor B.Lkhagvasuren took part in the former.
Moreover, the Mongolian delegation held official meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Japan, IMF, and JICA to inform them of the current economic situation in Mongolia and policies in force and discuss further strengthening of bilateral partnerships.
