Ulaanbaatar, November 18, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav has met with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin in Moscow.
The two heads
of government noted the active strengthening of the Mongolia–Russia
Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, emphasizing cooperation in energy,
industry, transport, education, and humanitarian areas.
Prime Minister
Zandanshatar highlighted that the Mongolian Government is placing strong
emphasis on advancing major projects, including the construction of a gas
pipeline transporting Russian natural gas to China through Mongolia, and the Program
for Establishing the Mongolia–Russia–China Economic Corridor.
Prime Minister Mishustin stressed that Mongolia is an important strategic partner for Russia in the Asia-Pacific region, with bilateral relations grounded in long-standing friendship, mutual trust, and support between the peoples of the two countries.
Although Russia has imposed certain restrictions on its petroleum exports, Mongolia is exempt from these measures. Petroleum supplies to Mongolia will remain stable, and Russia will increase the volume of petroleum product deliveries, Prime Minister Mishustin said.
The two sides agreed to hold the next meeting of the Mongolia–Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Ulaanbaatar within this year.
