Mongolian Teacher Honored with Princess Maha Chakri Award

Ulaanbaatar, October 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to inclusive education, the prestigious “Princess Maha Chakri Award” was presented to Uyanga Adiyasuren, a teacher and training manager at Enerel Vocational Training School of Mongolia, on October 15, 2025.


The award, established in 2015 to commemorate the 60th birthday of Her Majesty Princess of the Kingdom of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, is presented biannually to exceptional teachers in Southeast Asia and Timor-Leste. This year, the scope of the award has expanded to include educators from 14 countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Mongolia.


Teacher Uyanga Adiyasuren had dedicated her career to promoting equal access to education and employment for people with disabilities. Her efforts have significantly improved vocational training opportunities and supported the integration of students with disabilities into the labor market.


In honor of her contributions, she received a USD 10,000 prize from the Princess Maha Chakri Award Foundation. The award aims to celebrate excellence in inclusive education while fostering professional development and international collaboration among educators.
