Ulaanbaatar, September 30, 2025
/MONTSAME/. At a meeting with district managers and representatives of
companies working in the urban services sector, the Mayor and Governor of the
Capital City, Nyambaatar Khishgee, noted that wages for city and public utility
workers will be increased annually in line with inflation.
Mayor Nyambaatar stated, “When
I took office, the budget allocated for the sector was MNT 50 billion. For next
year, more than MNT 360 billion has been allocated for cleaning and maintenance.
We are also updating equipment, purchasing directly from manufacturers, and
providing them to enterprises through concessional loans. Please place orders
for the necessary tools and machinery before winter sets in. The new equipment
will allow a single vehicle to plow snow, load it, and sweep garbage. Starting
next year, we plan to mechanize the washing of road dividers and barriers. This
will help sector companies grow stronger and improve in quality. With the
matters of wages and equipment solved, we will demand proper execution and
quality.”
The meeting also discussed the
upkeep of green spaces, road and street cleaning services, equipment needs,
next year’s plans, and winter preparations.
