Foreign Trade of Mongolia Totals USD 16.6 Billion in First Eight Months of 2025

Ulaanbaatar, September 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia conducted trade with 157 countries during the first eight months of 2025, with a total foreign trade turnover of USD 16.6 billion, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Exports amounted to USD 9.2
billion, while imports totaled USD 7.5 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of
USD 1.7 billion.
Compared to the same period last year, total trade turnover decreased by 8.2 percent, or USD 1.5 billion. A 13.8 percent fall in exports, equivalent to USD 1.5 billion, was accompanied by a modest 0.3 percent reduction in imports, totaling USD 24.7 million. Consequently, the trade surplus decreased by 46.2 percent, or USD 1.4 billion.
