Events in Ulaanbaatar

May 19: Party groups of the Mongolian People’s Party and the Democratic Party in the State Great Khural will convene. 

May 19: The “Discrimination and Human Rights” discussion will be held in the Sukhbaatar Hall of the State Palace of Mongolia.
May 19: The artists of the State Academic Drama Theatre of Mongolia will stage the historical drama “Asaryn Undur.”[The Lofty Pavillion]


May 20: World Bee Day will be observed.

May 20: The 2025 Human Development Report of the UNDP, themed “A Matter of Choices: People and Possibilities in the Age of AI,” will be presented.
May 21: The Cabinet of Mongolia will hold its regular session at the State Palace.
May 22: The monodrama “The Legend of Queen Dorgene” will be performed at the Puppet Theatre of Mongolia.

May 22–23: Plenary sessions of the State Great Khural (Parliament) will convene at the State Palace.
May 22–23: The Government of Mongolia and the Asian Development Bank will jointly organize the international conference “Gender Equality and Climate Change” to exchange global experiences in addressing climate change.

May 23: The Mongolian State Philharmonic will perform selected works by Johann Strauss, the renowned composer of the Republic of Austria, in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of his birth.
May 24: The “Ballet Gala Concert” featuring the winners of the “Mongolian Grand Prix” ballet competition will take place at the State Opera and Ballet Academic Theatre of Mongolia.
May 24–25: The event “World Figure Skating Stars in Mongolia” will be held at the Steppe Arena.

Until May 24: The selection round of the “Saint Muse-18” International Theatre Festival will continue.
Until June 30: The National Statistics Office of Mongolia is conducting the “Baseline Survey to Establish a Stock, Use Table, and Inter-Sectoral Balance for 2024” nationwide until June 30, 2025.

The “Modlog Garden Expo,” a 60‑day afforestation and landscaping expo jointly organized by the Mongolian Association of Nurseries and Landscaping Professionals, will be open at “IC Park” in Yarmag, Ulaanbaatar, until the end of June.

Local Events:

May 19: The 9th Senior Citizens’ Arts Festival will be held in Mandalgobi soum, Dundgobi aimag.
May 19–22: The second round of the “National Sports Festival–2025” will take place in Uliastai soum, Zavkhan aimag.
May 21–22: The “Community Participation in Tourism Development–2024” tourism consultation meeting will be held in Uliastai soum, Zavkhan aimag.
May 27–29: “Republic of Tuva Days” will be observed in Uliastai soum, Zavkhan aimag.
May 27: An arts performance, photo exhibition, and book fair will take place in Tosontsengel soum, Zavkhan aimag.
May 28: A customs roundtable discussion and meeting will be held in Uliastai soum, Zavkhan aimag, to address customs clearance and challenges faced by trade and business entities.


As part of the “Republic of Tuva Days,” a roundtable meeting will be organized to discuss cooperation opportunities in afforestation, tourism, agricultural and livestock genetics, and selective breeding. In addition, a methodological training will be held for Russian language teachers.
May 18-July 28: The Museum of Arkhangai aimag will present a temporary exhibition “Nature Up Close,” in commemoration of International Museum Day.

Events Abroad:

May 23–25: The “Made in Mongolia–2025” Expo will be held for the second year in Sydney, Australia.
May 24: The international Morin Khuur Ensemble “ASAR” will grace the stage at the Nerima Cultural Center in Tokyo, Japan.


Over ten Mongolian companies are participating in the ongoing “World Expo–2025” in Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
The “Chinggis Khaan” International Exhibition will be on display at the Czech National Museum in Prague, the Czech Republic, until June 22, 2025.
