Ulaanbaatar, August 23, 2023 /MONTSAME/. In conjunction with the Mongolian Government’s announcing 2023 and 2024 as the “Years to Visit Mongolia,” the “Cultural Festival of Nomads - 2023” took place between August 18-20, 2023, at the Taij Khairkhan National Park, Ulaanbaatar.
Over 1100 nomads from more than ten countries, including Mongolia, Inner Mongolia of the People’s Republic of China, Buryatia, Kalmykia, Sakha, Tuva of the Russian Federation, Hungary, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as visitors and delegates from UNESCO and other international organizations, gathered in Mongolia to celebrate the intangible cultural heritage of nomads.
The Festival held for the second year, attracted over 60 thousand foreign and domestic tourists.
