Two Mongolian taekwondo athletes finish 7th at Tokyo Paralympics

Tokyo /MONTSAME/. On September 2, two Mongolian taekwondo athletes stepped onto the mat for their matches at the 16th Paralympic Games. 

 

For the second round of matches for the repechage round in the men’s 61 kg weight class, IM G.Bolor-Erdene was defeated by his opponent by a single point. He had previously come out victorious over a Spanish taekwondo athlete by 33:11.

 

As for IM Kh.Enkhtuya, she faced off against Khwansuda Phuangkitcha of Thailand in the semifinal match. In the first two rounds, her opponent came out on top with a dominating performance with scores of 5:16 and 5:6 respectively. Enkhtuya put in all her efforts in the final round, getting ahead by 9 points in Round 3. However, she was behind by 3 points in the total score. With both athletes having tough matchups, they finished their run in the Paralympics by finishing in 7th place.
