Mongolia receives rapid test kits from South Korea

On May 5, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia Lee Yeo-hong presented 30 thousand rapid test kits, the first batch of test kits worth USD 250 thousand the Government of South Korea is sending to Mongolia as humanitarian assistance, to the Ministry of Health.


The hand-over ceremony was attended by representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency, Embassy of South Korea in Mongolia, and the Health Ministry of Mongolia.


At the ceremony, Minister of Health D.Sarangerel gave latest updates on the global Covid-19 situation and expressed her gratitude for the timely and significant supply of rapid test kits of South Korea’s SD Biosensor company, which are much needed for determining the possible prevalence of COVID-19 infection and carrying out surveillance.


Ambassador Lee Yeo-hong noted that the kits are South Korean people’s wholehearted assistance for the fight against Covid-19.


Voicing his pleasure with the rapid development of bilateral relations and cooperation, the Ambassador underlined the effectiveness of the measures the government of Mongolia is taking against Covid-19.
