Biathlete E.Enkhsaikhan takes 12th place at Lausanne 2020

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Athlete E.Enkhsaikhan has made historic success in Mongolian biathlon during ‘Lausanne-2020’ Youth Winter Olympic Games that is running in Lausanne city, Switzerland.
Out of 98 athletes in men’s 12.5 km distance, Mr.Enkhsaikhan took the 12th place with 36:50.9, making him the biathlon athlete with the highest success of the country. Biathlete Oleg Domichek from the Russian Federation became the Olympic champion with success of 34:09.4 in the event.
Furthermore, Mongolian biathlete Ch.Byambasuren came to the 87th place in women’s 10 km individual event with 46:48.2.
The Youth Winter Olympic Games kicked off on January 10 in Lausanne city, Switzerland, where more than 1800 athletes from 73 countries are competing for 81 package of medals in 16 winter sports events. Apart from these two biathletes, O.Zolbayar, B.Khongor, D.Urangoo and B.Nomin-Erdene will participate in running ski event.
