E.Bekhbayar wins silver at “Alans” International

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 3rd “Alans” International Wrestling Tournament was held on December 7-8 at “Manej’” Sports Complex in Vladikavkaz, Russia, where Mongolian wrestler E.Bekhbayar won silver medal in men’s 57 kg category.
235 wrestlers from 25 countries competed in 10 weight categories and 6 Mongolian wrestlers participated in the tournament under the supervision of State Honored Coach A.Tsedensodmom and IM B.Batzorig.
Two-time silver medalist of World Wrestling Championships, Champion of Jakarta-2018 Asian Championships, Champion of 2016 Asian Championships, athlete of “Khangarid” Club and “Altai” Constructions E.Bekhbayar defeated R.Mintullaev (Dagestan) by 2:2 in his first match, in quarter-finals he defeated Asian 2017 Youth Champion J.Turobov (Uzbekistan) by 10:0 and took down the Russian Champion of 2019 R.Gamzatov with the final score of 4:1 in the following match.
Although he defeated
bronze medalist of 2019 European Youth Championships A.Sabanov of the host
country by 2:1 in the semi-finals, he lost to the 2018 World Youth Champion
A.Idrisov (Dagestan) by 2:5 in gold medal event.
