Senior chess players win medals at world championship

World Senior Chess Championship was held in Bucharest, Romania on November
11-24, in which 366 senior chess players from 41 countries competed in the + 50
and + 65 men and women categories of standard and blitz tournaments.
Mongolia was represented by senior chess players D.Serjmyadag and P.Bujinlkham who competed in the +65 women’s events. D.Serjmyadag and P.Bujinlkham were placed 8th and 11th respectively. In blitz tournament, P.Bujinlkham won a silver medal and cup as she claimed the second place while D.Serjmyadag grabbed a bronze medal.
