National para archery team competes in World Archery Para Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 2019 World Archery Para Championships took place in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on June 3-9, in which Mongolia's national para archery team competed.
Led by 2008 Paralympic gold medalist, State Honored Athlete D.Baatarjav, the team consisting of seven ranked in the top eight for mixed teams. While A.Ankhbayar and B.Oyun-Erdene were able to be victorious over the team of Poland by the score of 5:3 n the recurve mixed team matches, they were defeated by the team of Russia in the next match by 5:4.
In the semifinals, the Russian team then went on to win in the next matches against the teams of China and Italy, winning the gold medal.
The national archery teams also held a joint training in Brussels, Belgium before the world championship on May 27-June 9. The archery athletes will be competing in the 2019 World Archery Championships in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on June 10-16.
