Speaker meets chess players

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On May 9, Speaker of the Parliament and President of the Mongolian Chess Federation of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar received chess players who successfully participated in the world, continental and international chess competitions, including World Senior Team Championships 50+ & 65+, held in Greece on April 15-25; 2019 World Schools Chess Championship, organized in Turkey on April 18-26, and Asian Youth Chess Championship 2019, held in Sri Lanka on April 1-10.
Congratulating teen and
senior chess players, who won medals at the championships, Mr. Zandanshatar
said that it is planned to have Chess Palace with a purpose to develop this
intellectual sport.
After hearing their
opinions, Mr. Zandanshatar said that there is an opportunity to organize a
chess tournament ‘One Mongolian-one move’ in the State House, making teen chess
players possible to play chess with parliamentarians.
The meeting concluded with
presenting souvenirs to chess players.
