Planning team of ‘Aravt’ military horse racing convenes
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The planning team meeting of ‘Aravt’ military horse racing has been held with participation of guests and delegates from eight countries including Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, USA, Turkey, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
As a part of the International Army Games 2019 which 32 competitions take place, the military horse racing is to be held for the first time under the name ‘Aravt’ and Mongolia will host the racing. The planning team noted that at present 104 teams from 13 countries have informed to participate in the military racing.
Hosting the racing is significant for
Mongolia to expand military cooperation and promote horse culture and tradition
to the world.
16 competitions out of the total 32 will take place in the Russian Federation and other events will run in other countries including Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and India.
In the previous International Army Games, Mongolian military officers have taken part in the contests of ‘Tank Biathlon’, ‘Sniper’s Frontier’ and ‘Field Kitchen’, showing successes.
