7 milliion euro project implemented at General Hospital for State Special Servants

Under the financial partnership between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Austria, one-year project to renew medical equipment and prepare human resource has been successfully implemented at the General Hospital for State Special Servants and the project completion ceremony took place on November 27.

Within the project, over 180 equipment and devices of 87 types have been installed and are currently being used.  For instance, the operation rooms now have laminar airflow, while the emergency department’s equipment have been renewed and the hospital’s medical gas supply system has been installed.

Director of General Hospital for State Special Servants L.Battur said, “In the frameworks of the project, the medical gas supply system has been renewed entirely and the hospital has operations rooms with laminar airflow, in other words, transplant surgery rooms. Our hospital has also become the first public hospital to use a polysomnography device for treatment as well.”

In 2018, a total of 28 doctors and medical specialists attended retraining for 14-28 days in Austria, Germany, China and Finland for the project. The Austrian company AME International partnered in the project implementation.

As of today, the General Hospital for Special State Servants has given medical services and treatment to over 28,300 patients using the equipment and devices installed within the project.
