Hakuho sets new record with 1000th victory in top division

Aki Basho ended on September 23. Hakuho M.Davaajargal set a new record with the 1,000th victory in the top division beating Ozeki
Goeido in the bout on the 14th day.
On the 15th day, Hakuho beat Kakuryu M.Anand in the final bout, winning his 41st Emperor’s Cup.
The yokozuna said that his achievement will
inspire future sumo wrestlers and help them set greater goals.
