Mongolian mountaineers conquer the Seven Summits

Mongolian Mountaineers surmounted all the Seven Summits, highest mountains of the world continents over fifty years’ development of mountaineering sport in Mongolia.
Mountaineering was emerged as a sport in Mongolia in the middle of last century. In 1951 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, young athletes raised for the first time the national flag on Asralt Khairkhan Mountain, the highest peak of the Khentii Mountain Range, 2800 meter above sea level. The mountaineering sport was proclaimed in real sense, when Khuiten Peak of the Altai Mountain Range, the highest point of Mongolia was surmounted. Geographical location of Mongolia, situated in mountainous area of Asia has been a good basis for development of all types of mountain climbing sports. 
Mountaineers G.Naidan, J.Bayantsagaan, D.Chadraabal, Sh.Nyamdavaa, S.Battumur and R.Erdenesuren hoisted the national flag on Mount Elbrus, the highest peak of Europe in 1987, L.Boldbaatar climbed Kilimanjaro in Africa in 1999, and Aconcagua, South America in 2000, G.Usukhbayar conquered Mount Everest, Asia in 2005, Denali, (formerly McKinley) North America in 2008 and S.Zaya, Kh.Selenge, P.Sarantuya, S.Odonchimeg, Ch.Terbish and Gankhuu reached Kosciuszko, Australia and Vinson, Antarctica in 2009.
Later mountaineer B.Gangaamaa conquered all those summits, raising the national flag.
