Ulaanbaatar, April 10, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The National Art Gallery of Mongolia opened a “Path to the Dream” Joint Exhibition by students of “Uran Egshig” Secondary School of Orkhon Aimag B. Erdenekhuu and B. Bolorchimeg on April 8, 2024.

The Ministry of Culture of Mongolia launched the "Cultural Revival" Nationwide Campaign in 2023, aiming at strengthening national common values, which included in "Vision-2050", Mongolia's long-term development policy, and ensuring the implementation of cultural laws. Under the Campaign, the National Art Gallery of Mongolia organized a drawing competition under the theme "The City of My Dreams" for secondary school students in Orkhon aimag. Students B. Erdenekhuu and B. Bolorchimeg won the competition with their magnificent works. As a reward, they were granted the privilege of displaying their works in a joint exhibition at the Gallery, free of charge. Authorities of the Mongolian Art Gallery expressed their confidence that this competition had greatly stimulated young people's interest in the fine arts and encouraged the next generation of artists.

At the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition, Professor B. Gantulga, President of the Mongolian Academy of Art Design and Doctor of Art Studies, awarded Erdenekhuu and Bolorchimeg with certificates to study at the Fine Arts Design and Technology School of Ikh Zasag International University under the 100 percent scholarships of the Mongolian Academy of Art Design.

Also, the two students were conferred upon the "Talented Student" Gold Medal, the Supreme Decoration of the Mongolian Students' Association, and the "Erdem" Silver Medal of the Children's Palace of Mongolia.

Student of the “Uran Egshig” Secondary School of Orkhon Aimag B. Erdenekhuu:

-I usually paint nature, Mongolian rural life, and horses. My paintings give an indescribable feeling of joy. When I was in elementary school, I discovered my passion for painting. Encouraged by my art teacher's words, "You have a talent for drawing," I began to nurture my skills. By the fifth grade, I became a student of D. Tsegmid, igniting my interest in drawing even further. With the support of my teacher, I developed my talent and am holding this large-scale exhibition today. My father told me that he liked to draw when he was young. My parents are very supportive of my interests.

Now, I am filled with pride and honor as I exhibit my works in such a prestigious exhibition hall where great artists present their works.

Student of the “Uran Egshig” Secondary School of Orkhon Aimag B. Bolorchimeg:

-I've been very fond of drawing since childhood. However, I struggled to decide whether to pursue painting as a career. Thankfully, during high school, I decided to study arts, thanks in large part to the support of my teachers and parents. There's a profound beauty in being able to freely express my feelings and inner world with a brush. Currently, I explore both realistic and modernist styles in my paintings. Nevertheless, I'm interested in experimenting with all painting styles. Exhibiting my work at the National Art Gallery of Mongolia is an incredible feeling and an unforgettable experience. I wouldn't have been able to present my painting without my teacher and parents.
