Ambassador Gansukh Holds Meetings in Slovakia

Ulaanbaatar, February16 2024/MONTSAME/. Ambassador of Mongolia to the Slovak Republic residing in the Czech Republic Mr. Gansukh Damdin during his visit to Slovakia on February 12-13, 2024, attended a meeting of ambassadors on the occasion of New Year organized by H.E. Zuzana Čaputová-President of Slovak Republic.

 

Ambassador Gansukh Damdin held meetings with the President of the Slovak-Mongolia Trade Chamber and officials from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.

 

At the meeting with Mr. Peter Spišiak, Director of the Department of the Asian Pacific Countries at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, the two parties discussed the possibilities of broadening friendly relations and cooperation of the two countries, specifically organizing the consultative meeting between two Ministries of Foreign affairs, establishing the Agreement on International Road Transportation between Mongolia and Slovak Republic and holding the first session of the Economic Cooperation Committee.

 

Ambassador Gansukh conveyed an invitation for Petra Vlhová a Slovak World Cup alpine ski racer to attend the “World Women’s Forum” to be organized under the auspices of the President of Mongolia in August 2024. Informing about the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue International Conference, the Ambassador invited Slovak representatives to attend the Conference. Mr. Peter Spišiak noted that the cooperation between Mongolia and the Slovak Republic is effectively developing under the UN and international organizations, and expressed its readiness to organize bilateral meetings including the Consultative Meeting between Foreign Affairs Ministries.

 

Ms. Andrea Krajčíková, the Director General for Foreign Trade Policy and European Affairs, at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, stated the increasing trade between the two countries and the possibilities to enhance economic cooperation.

 

The two parties agreed on ensuring the implementation of agreements between the Ministries of Mongolia and the Slovak Republic and organizing the Joint Committee meeting, reported the Embassy of Mongolia in Prague.
