Mongolia to Cooperate with the UAE in Artificial Intelligence

Ulaanbaatar, February 16, 2024 /MONTSAME/. At the World Government Summit, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia Uchral Nyam-Osor and Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Al Gergawi announced the official start of cooperation between the governments of the two countries.
On November 28-30, 2023, during the visit
of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to the UAE, a "Memorandum of
Understanding between the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia and
the General Secretariat of the Cabinet of the UAE on the Exchange of Governance
Development and Reform Experience" was established.
Also, Minister of Digital Development and Communications Uchral Nyam-Osor held a bilateral meeting with Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates Omar Sultan Al Olama in November 2023. They agreed to cooperate in the field of artificial intelligence and signed the “Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Artificial Intelligence.”
In addition, the Government of Mongolia was
awarded the "Global Government Excellence Award" at the World
Governments Summit held in Dubai, UAE, on February 12-14, 2024. This Award is
given to the best practices of governments in the successful and effective
implementation of electronic transition based on new technologies and
innovations. The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications reported
that the “Wide-Open” operation and transparency implemented by the Government of Mongolia in the
framework of the "E-Nation-E-Mongolia" initiative in bringing
government services closer to citizens, simplifying them, and making them open
and transparent have been recognized as first-class experiences at the
international level.
Minister of Digital Development and
Communications of Mongolia received the "Global Government Excellence
Award" from His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the
Presidential Court of the UAE.
