Cultural and Creative Industry Forum takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/  ‘Cultural and Creative Industry’ national forum was held at the State House on November 30 as the conclusion of  the ‘Month of Cultural Creativity’ campaign conducted by the Ministry of Culture.


The forum brought together members of the State Great Khural, Ambassadors, and representatives from international organizations and the country’s 12 cultural and creative industries.


At the event, President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh delivered an opening speech and Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin gave a presentation on the government’s cultural and creative industry development policy.


“The arts and cultural sector accounts for 1.3 percent of Mongolia’s GDP. 5,600 of the 11 thousand registered businesses in the sector are currently active and providing 33 thousand jobs. The five priority cultural and creative industries have been defined as fine arts, music, film, fashion, and digital content” said Minister Ch.Nomin.


The forum participants had discussions on cultural and creative industry development policy, economic impacts, and development trends.
