Mongolia reports 684 new cases of COVID-19 and four deaths

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11 a.m., May 22, the Ministry of Health provided updates on coronavirus situation in Mongolia.


According to the Ministry, 684 new cases of COVID-19 were detected after performing tests on 8,399 people nationwide in the past 24 hours.


Of the new cases, 638 were reported in the capital city, 41 in rural areas and five hospital-acquired cases were also confirmed. As a result, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia has reached 51,931. In the past 24 hours, 708 people were discharged from hospital, bringing the number of recoveries to 45,853.


Unfortunately, four people died due to coronavirus complications, making the death toll 244. As of today, 4,059 people are undergoing treatment and of whom 535 are in very critical health condition.
