Environment Minister meets Czech Ambassador online

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On February 10, Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Urtnasan had a virtual meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Mongolia Jiri Brodsky to discuss a range of issues relating to bilateral cooperation in wildlife conservation and reintroduction, forest management, water, air, and other environmental pollution reduction, and tourism development. 

 

At the meeting, Minister N.Urtnasan underscored that the takhi or Przewalski’s horse reintroduction program has been sustainably and successfully carried out between the two countries and the country's takhi population has been increasing year on year as a result. The minister also undertook to support ongoing joint efforts and future plans for the environment and tourism development. 

 

Wishing success to the recently appointed minister in her endeavors, Czech Ambassador Jiri Brodsky voiced his hope that bilateral cooperation in forest management and water and environmental pollution reduction will further expand.
