Fourth Ulaanbaatar Dialogue kicks off

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 4th Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security international conference opened today, June 15 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
The Ulaanbaatar Dialogue is a 2013 initiative of Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj that aims to facilitate talks on the most pressing issues in the region.
 
Co-organized by the Institute for Strategic Studies under the National Security Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the annual conference is being participated by over 150 delegates from the regional countries Mongolia, China, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, other nations including the US, Germany, Canada and France, as well as international organizations such as the UN and the EU.
 
The agenda of the 2-day conference is divided into two plenary sessions under the themes ‘The Paradigm changes of Security Environment in Northeast Asian’, ‘The Path forward: Improving Current Security Situation in Northeast Asia’ and two sub-sessions under the themes ‘Implications of Energy Connectivity in Northeast Asia’ and ‘Implications of Environmental Security Cooperation in Northeast Asia’.
 
The closing session of the conference will be addressed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ts.Munkh-Orgil on June 16, Friday.
