Ulaanbaatar, December 12, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian National Olympic Committee organized the “Burte Chono 2025” annual sports awards ceremony on December 10, announcing Mongolia's top athletes and sports figures of the year.
First organized in 2003, the ceremony presented awards in 13
categories, including Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete, Best Team, and
Best Paralympic Athlete.
Contestants of Netflix’s Physical Asia were honored with this
year’s Outstanding Achievement of the Year award in recognition of their valuable
contribution to promoting Mongolia on the international stage.
The titles of Athlete of the Year, Best Male Athlete, Best Female
Athlete, and Best Team were determined through voting by member journalists of
the Mongolian Sports Press Association.
Based on the votes of 46 journalists, World Wrestling
Championship silver and bronze medalist Tulga Tumur-Ochir earned 102 points,
securing the Athlete of the Year title and receiving the top trophy.
Upon accepting the award, he said, “Thank you to everyone
