Mongolia to Import Over 190,000 Tonnes of Fuel in December

Ulaanbaatar, December 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Energy reported that fuel-importing companies have ordered 62,660 tonnes of AI-92 gasoline, 129,240 tonnes of diesel, and 1,560 tonnes of AI-95 gasoline for December 2025.


This brings total planned fuel imports to 193,460 tonnes. Mongolia relies entirely on imported fuel, with 95 percent purchased from the Russian Federation and the remainder from the People’s Republic of China.


In the first days of December, the country has already imported 4,597 tonnes of AI-92 gasoline and 9,260 tonnes of diesel, totaling 13,857 tonnes.


Rail shipments currently include 179 wagons of AI-92 gasoline and 366 wagons of diesel.
