Mongolia and India Advance Strategic Partnership Ahead of 70th Anniversary

Ulaanbaatar, September 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav, received Periasamy Kumaran, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India, on September 22, 2025.
Emphasizing the importance of bilateral ties, State Secretary Munkhtushig highlighted Mongolia’s intent to deepen its strategic partnership with India - a spiritual neighbor, regional partner, and valued third neighbor.
The two sides exchanged views on upcoming high-level visits and events planned to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year.
The parties acknowledged the significant progress of jointly implemented projects and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the Oil Refinery project within the planned timeframe, which is widely regarded as a symbol of Mongolian-Indian partnership.
