Events in Ulaanbaatar

September 1: The new academic year for universities, general education schools, and preschool institutions to begin nationwide.

September 1: Mother Language Day to be celebrated.

September 1: The National Library of Mongolia to conduct a lecture titled “Why We Value Our Mother Tongue” at the new building of the Mongolian National University in celebration of “Mother Language Day” and in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the eminent Mongolian linguist Honored Scientist of Mongolia, Doctor of Science, and professor at the National University of Mongolia, Bazarragchaa Munkhjargal, D.Sc.

September 1: The Smart Education Hub Center to launch at Mongolian State University of Education to provide AI education and implement digital learning programs.

September 2-5: Asia-Pacific Cyber Drill 2025 to be held in Ulaanbaatar.

September 3: The regular meeting of the Government of Mongolia to be held.

September 4-9: At the invitation of Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, the Honorable Samantha Mostyn, to pay a state visit to Mongolia.

September 5: An international scientific conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Mongolist, Ph.D. Professor Udo Barkmann from the Federal Republic of Germany to be held in the Academic Hall of Building I of the National University of Mongolia.

September 5: New Harvest Day to be observed.



September 5: International Day of Clean Air to be celebrated worldwide.

September 7: Mongolian Builders’ Day to be celebrated.

August 31 - September 7: The 2025 FIBA U16 Asia Cup to be held in Ulaanbaatar.

September 11-13: “Mining Week & Mine Pro 2025” international mining exhibition and conference to be organized for the fourth consecutive year in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia, Mongolian National Mining Association, and the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia.


Local Events

September 5-7: The “Sersen Tal” Song and Music Festival, named after renowned composer Sharav Byambasuren – recipient of Mongolia’s highest state honors, including the Order of Chinggis Khaan, Hero of Labor, State Prize, and Honored Worker of Art of Mongolia, to be held in Jargaltkhaan soum, Khentii aimag.

 

Events Abroad

September 4-7: The Mongolia-Kazakhstan business meeting to be held in Astana and Almaty.

September 4-14: The World Boxing Championships to be held in Liverpool, England, with Mongolia fielding a team of five female and five male athletes.
