“Danshig Naadam - Khuree Tsam 2025” Mongol Religious and Cultural Festival Held

2025 /MONTSAME/. The
"Danshig Naadam - Khuree Tsam 2025," a unique cultural and religious
festival of the Mongols, was celebrated on June 27-29, 2025, at Khui Doloon
Khudag.
“Danshig Naadam” Festival, jointly
organized by the Governor's Office of the Capital City of Mongolia, the
Ulaanbaatar City Tourism Department, and the Gandantegchinlen Monastery,
is significant in its contribution to promoting religious and cultural
rituals of the Mongols and the development of tourism.
The Festival featured Tsam performances by 120 Tsam Dancers, praising spiritual peace and meditation – a Buddhist choreographic tradition, revived among the monks of the Gandantegchinlen Monastery since 1999. Competitions of the Mongol traditional "Three Manly Games," which are horse racing, archery, and wrestling, also took place.
