Asia Folk 2025 Festival to Be Held for the Seventh Year in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar, June 12, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Under the auspices of the Governor of the Capital City of Mongolia and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Nyambaatar Khishgee, the “Asia Folk 2025” Festival of Folk Art and Handicrafts of Asian Cities will be held on June 13-15, 2025, at Sukhbaatar Square in Ulaanbaatar City.


The three-day Festival has gathered 170 artists from 11 countries, including Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of India, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the Festival, joint performances by foreign and Mongolian folk artists, a parade in traditional national costumes of Asian countries, demonstration shows, as well as a handicrafts exhibition and trade fair will be organized.


The Festival of Folk Art and Handicrafts of Asian Cities, being held for the seventh time, was first launched in 2019 in Ulaanbaatar under the name “Asian Folk Art Festival.” From 2020-2022, the Festival was conducted online due to the global pandemic. The Festival provides an opportunity for both international tourists and the people of Mongolia to experience and explore the culture, heritage, and folk arts of Asian countries in one setting.
